Drop-In Tech Help is held every Thursday, alternating between mornings and evenings (as indicated on our calendar). These sessions are intended to familiarize patrons with common computer, internet, mobile device, and e-reader functions. Bring your devices (or use our laptops) and your questions! We'll do our best to answer them, and if we can't, we'll look for answers and learn alongside you. Please note that attendees have a variety of needs and schedule constraints; priority will be given to first-time attendees.
If your schedule prevents you from attending Drop-In Tech Help, or if your questions are more general, we invite you to schedule a one-on-one session with a librarian. One-on-one appointments are limited to one per month. You can expect appointments to be about 30-40 minutes in duration. Fill out our sign-up form to get started.
Guidelines for Tech Help
Please bring your device and any necessary account information and cords. You may also use a library laptop.
Library staff cannot be held responsible for damage to patron-owned equipment.
We are generally not able to:
Complete forms, transactions, or tasks for you - our role is to assist you in doing it yourself!
Install software unrelated to library services
Perform computer maintenance, such as backups and antivirus scans
Cover advanced software programs (though we can recommend resources to help you)
