Friends of Project Literacy

The Friends of Project Literacy is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation founded to support the work of Project Literacy. Our board of directors is involved in fundraising and other development and advisory activities to help ensure the continued growth of Project Literacy’s educational programs. Many board members began their involvement as either volunteer tutors or students; all share a commitment to improving adult literacy in our community.

Volunteer
The Friends of Project Literacy is seeking new board members or other volunteers interested in literacy, especially those who have experience in fundraising, marketing, community outreach or event planning. For more information, please contact Laurie Garden at l.garden@comcast.net or Karen Roubicek at k.roubicek@comcast.net.

Project Literacy is funded through grants, contributions from individuals and businesses, and the support of the Watertown Free Public Library.
