The Watertown Commission on Disability will be hosting a free showing of the -time audience award-winning documentary film "Shooting Beauty: Everyone Deserves a Shot" on Thursday, February 28, 2012 in the Watertown Savings Bank Room at the WFPL from 6 - 8:30 PM.

For the convenience of our patrons, The Watertown Free Public Library carries tax forms each year during tax season. We have begun receiving some of the forms, but have also received word from the IRS that the primary family of forms (1040) have been significantly delayed. and there is, as yet, no expected date for them. Rest assured, we will have them available just as soon as the IRS ships them to us!

From 10:30AM - 12:30PM, Saturday August 4, the Doula Study Group for the Boston Area is sponsoring a film screening and discussion of The Business of Being Born. Produced by Ricki Lake and released in 2008, this documentary explores the state of maternity care during labor and birth in the United States. With a clear agenda, this documentary was groundbreaking in its expose of the problems plaguing maternity care, and in its normalization of home birth. Join us for discussion after the film.
