An Exciting New Way to Take Classes!

Have you ever wished you could learn something new, but don’t have the time or money to take a class?   Would you like to learn tools to advance your career?   Master a new craft?   Learn to use a computer?   Learn to bake?   Study Law or Mathematics?     All of this – and more – is available free of charge to patrons of the Watertown Free Public Library through our new online product Universal Class.
Universal Class is a free, online program that offers over 500 self-paced courses in everything imaginable.    While the classes do not count for college credit, they will earn you continuing education units (CEUs), and advance your knowledge and understanding of the world.
To find Universal Class, start at our home page www.watertownlib.org.   Choose the ‘Research’ tab at the top of the page, and then select ‘Databases.’   Scroll through the alphabetical list to Universal Class.   You’ll need to sign up (create a user name and password) to use it.  Once you do, you’ll be able to browse the entire course catalog, view the syllabus and reviews of each class, and choose the classes that are right for you.

Take a peek at all that this wonderful product offers, and let us know if you have any questions about it, or comments to share about your experience using it.   Most of all:  happy learning!
