This week the Children’s Room launched our summer reading program with a performance by the Yo-Yo People. We were so happy to see so many of you there, but if you missed it, never fear: we have a ton of fantastic programs and performances for you this summer.
Here’s how our reading program works:
Stop in the children’s room to pick up a bright orange summer reading log. For every day your child reads (including you reading with them), mark it off on the log. Why not try for at least 20 minutes a day?
Come by to pick up books from our summer reading lists for pre-k kiddos through incoming 5th graders or explore independently! We want your family to be reading, but what you choose is up to you—the most important thing is that your kiddo is interested.
We’ve got plenty of brand new titles and old favorites for all your reading needs, so don’t forget to tell us the favorite books you’ve read this summer!
Check out our summer calendar—we’ve got it jam-packed with great activities Monday through Saturday.
