Book Groups

All groups are always happy to welcome new members; you may come every month, or once in a while as you are able.

Read to, with, or around your big kid and come prepared to share your thoughts at our monthly meetings. This is a great opportunity for family bonding. This month, we are reading Gone Crazy in Alabama by Rita Garcia Williams. For age 10 and up with an adult. No registration.

Pick up a copy of these titles at the Circulation desk 4 weeks before the meeting date. Discussions are informal and generally based on personal reactions, not academic analysis.

Join your neighbors for a casual book discussion on Yaa Gyasi's 'Homegoing,' our 2017 One Book, One Watertown selection. Free and open to the public.

This event kicks off our One Book events series. Read more here.

Join us as we cook the books at the Watertown Free Public Library. On the 2nd Wednesday of the month, people who like to discuss food and cooking are invited to bring a prepared dish, as well as the cookbook the recipe came from, to share with the group. This will give everyone a chance to sample dishes from an assortment of cookbooks while only having to prepare one. Make sure you come hungry!
